Strathmore Leos, fresh from winning the Prinsloo Sevens title, are tied with KCB Rugby at the top of the National Sevens Circuit standings after two thrilling rounds. Both sides have collected 41 points each.

Leos, who finished second at the opening leg in Mombasa, bounced back strongly in Nakuru to defeat KCB in the Prinsloo Sevens final. The win marked their first title of the season and confirmed them as serious contenders for the overall crown.

KCB, on the other hand, started the campaign on a high by dominantly winning the Driftwood Sevens. However, they had to settle for second place in Nakuru, leaving the two rivals level on points heading into the next leg in Nairobi.

Nakuru RFC and Menengai Oilers follow closely on 28 points each. Nakuru have impressed with consistent quarter-final appearances, while Oilers have managed back-to-back top-five finishes. Kabras RFC sit fifth with 27 points after a mixed run — third place in Mombasa but an early exit in Nakuru.

Catholic Monks have risen to sixth with 26 points after securing a surprise third-place finish at Prinsloo. Kenya Harlequin are seventh with 24 points after back-to-back sixth-place finishes.

Further down the table, Mwamba and MMUST are tied on 11 points, Daystar Falcons have 13, and Nondies sit on 15. Newcomers Zetech Oaks managed seven points in their debut at Prinsloo.

The series now heads to Nairobi for the Christie Sevens, where teams will fight to break the deadlock at the top and gain momentum in the race for the overall title.
